“Let’s make slime,” she said. “It’ll be fun,” she said. And I happily obliged. You can make this fun crayon slime too.
What you’ll need:
- 1 Bottle of Clear Elmer’s Glue (5 oz)
- Baking Soda (1/2 teaspoon)
- 1½ TBSP of Saline Solution
- Pack of Crayola Crayons
- Scissors or Grater
- Medium Mixing Bowl
- Small Bowls for Crayon Shavings
- Spoon
Choose the crayon colors that you want to use for your slime. You can either use a pair of scissors to shave the crayons into small pieces or you can use a grater to shave them. For this tutorial, we chose to use a grater. I love the way the crayon shavings turned out using the grater. We tested the scissor shaving method and ultimately went with the grater method.
Pour glue into mixing bowl.
Pour baking soda into mixing bowl.
Mix glue and baking soda together with a spoon.
Pour saline solution into glue and baking soda mixture and continue mixing.
Begin using your hands to form the slime. If you feel that the slime is still too sticky for your liking, you can add more saline solution to the mixture to make it less sticky.
Add crayon shavings to the slime mixture once you’ve obtained the consistency of slime that you want.
Use your hands to mix the crayon shavings into the slime.
You’re done. Have fun with your new crayon slime!
