Broccoli Salad

Broccoli Salad

I recall the first time I learned about Broccoli Salad. My first thought was “Raisins AND Bacon in the same recipe? And with broccoli? That sounds gross!”

But, I was wrong! I reluctantly tried it and to my surprise, I fell in love with it.

This recipe is perfect for potlucks, barbeques, and parties. It’s a quick and easy dish that can be made ahead of time and refrigerated until time to eat. Those are my favorite types of dishes to take to parties because you don’t have to worry about heating up your dish. Just grab it from the fridge when it’s time to eat, add a spoon and it’s ready to eat!

The original recipe that I received had sugar and apple cider vinegar in it. I eliminated those and created my own recipe. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Ingredients
5 cups broccoli florets
1/2 c raisins
1/4 c chopped red onions
1/2 c sliced almond
1/4 c bacon pieces
2 tbsp mayonnaise
Salt, a dash
Pepper, a dash

Instructions
Mix ingredients together in a medium bowl. My favorite mixing bowls are from The Pioneer Woman.

Chill for 1-2 hours before serving.
